We had an amazing first week of Swim Team! There is a LOT going on and it’s all important so please read below and let us know if you have any questions!

Here are the TL;DR bullet points, details below.

• Come to the pep rally Tuesday at 6
  • Bring a check if you haven’t paid yet
• First meet Thursday at LMT. If your swimmer will NOT be there PLEASE sign them out of the meet. Please also sign up to volunteer at the meet
• 4^th of July BBQ fundraiser is Saturday July 2 at the pool. Please volunteer to bring food or help out in another way
• The Richboro Pentathlon is July 9-10. It’s a GREAT meet, sign your kids up by WEDNESDAY
• Swimathon is July 13-14. See Michelle’s email.
• IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU SIGN YOUR KIDS OUT of meets that they can’t attend

Pep Rally Tuesday June 28 6-7pm

We’ll have pizza and hand out t-shirts. Come learn all the cheers and get ready for our first meet Thursday. I (Kristin) will be there and I’ll take your check if you haven’t paid yet. I’ll answer any questions about signing up or signing out of meets or helping out at meets.

First meet Thursday at Lower Makefield Township (LMT)

If your swimmer will NOT be there PLEASE sign them out of the meet BY TUESDAY.

Please also sign up to volunteer at the meet. SWIM MEETS CANNOT RUN WITHOUT PARENTS HELPING. Check out the volunteer sign-up; there are descriptions of all the jobs. Timing is an easy first job if your family is new to swimming.

4^th of July BBQ Fundraiser

4^th of July BBQ fundraiser is Saturday July 2 at the pool. Please volunteer to bring food or help out in another way. See Michelle’s email for more info.

Richboro Pentathlon

This is an invitational event. All swimmers swim 5 events: Butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley (IM). The event fee is $30 payable by cash or check (made out to the Bryn Athyn Swim Club) to Kristin. Sign your swimmer up here. We need entries by Wednesday so we can get them to the meet host on time.

Registration is now open for the 2022 Richboro Aqua-Pentathlon on July 9-10, 2022. All swimmers swim 5 events consisting of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and the Individual Medley. Registration should include swimmers that are able to perform all strokes legally. Awards for individual top 12 finishers as well as overall fastest combinations of all 5 events in each age group and gender. Swimmers 13 and older swim on Saturday evening and swimmers 12 and under swim on Sunday morning.

Signing Out of Meets

We set our meets up to make it as easy as possible for parents (that is the goal, anyway). We assume that your swimmer will be there unless you sign them out. The coaches put them into events and relays. If a swimmer doesn’t show up, it is incredibly disruptive for the coaches to re-arrange swimmers and especially relays.

On the Signup Calendar, each meet has a Meet Entry button and a Job Signup button. Use these buttons to sign your swimmers out of meets they can’t attend, and please sign up to volunteer at meets that they can.
