Swim Meet 101
When?
Our meets are always on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. We ask volunteers and swimmers to arrive between 5:30 and 5:45 and warm-ups begin soon after. The meets are generally finished by 8:30.
Who?
Swimming in meets is optional for our Tadpoles (swimmers aged 5 & 6).
RSVP?
The week before each meet the RSVP window will open on our Signup Calendar. Please login and let us know if your swimmer will or won't attend.
What should swimmers wear?
- Our league requires race-style suits without ties.
- Compression body suits are also not allowed.
- We are happy to have swimmers race in any competition style suit that is red and/or black.
- Every year we choose a team suit you can buy from our team store at https://www.swimoutlet.com/brynathynbarracudas/ . If you buy any gear while logged in to our account our team receives a percentage.
- The league will not allow swimmers wearing athletic tape to compete.
- We recommend caps and goggles for all swimmers.
